Sarah Magid is a costume jewelry designer based in NYC. She finds inspiration in the vivid colors of semi-precious stones and uses them in unexpected ways to create bold, colorful jewelry crafted with the highest quality brass metal. Her inspirations range from the bright colors + prints that her Jewish Grandma wore, Modern Art, the colorful grafitti and street style in her Brooklyn neighborhood, and her childhood in sunny California. She has 15 years experience designing jewelry, footwear, and accessories for iconic brands such as Henri Bendel, Coach, J.Crew, Etienne Aigner, and others.
She launched her line in 2013 to bring the ideas she had in her sketchbook to life. Most of these were sketches that never fit into the branded lines she designed for, with bold shapes, bright colors, and subtle details. Her years of experience in the fashion industry has her working with the best team and partners possible to make her jewelry dreams come true.
Her love of design extends to food. While she loves wearing heels more than a hairnet, in 2009 she published a cookbook called 'Organic and Chic' (HarperCollins) detailing jewelry-inspired cakes and organic treats. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children and tries to find humor + sparkle in everyday life.
